When Chief Minister Nitish Kumar reached Raj Bhawan to meet Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar after the birth anniversary celebrations of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, there was a stir in the political department. All the political parties were beginning to appear tentative in various ways; BJP had even said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had come under pressure from Rajat supremo Lalu Prasad and hence had gone to meet the Governor. But, now these speculations have been put to rest.

Appointment of Vice Chancellors was discussed

It was told that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had gone to the Governor to discuss the appointment of Vice Chancellors. This meeting was already fixed. The Chief Minister was also accompanied by Finance Minister Vijay Chaudhary and his Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar. In this 40-minute meeting, the appointment of Vice Chancellors in the universities of Bihar was discussed between CM Nitish Kumar and the Governor and Laker.

Six new VCs were appointed in these universities

After this, information was received that new Vice Chancellors have been appointed in six universities of Bihar. Prof. at Jaiprakash University (Chhapra). Parmendra Kumar Bajpai has been made the Vice Chancellor. Whereas in BRA University (Muzaffarpur), Prof. Dinesh Chandra Rai, Lalit Narayan Mishra, Professor at Mithila University (Darbhanga). Sanjay Kumar Choudhary, Professor at Darbhanga Sanskrit University. Lakshmi Niwas Pandey, Prof. at BN Mandal University (Madhepura). Vimalendu Shekhar Jha and Prof. at Aryabhatta Knowledge University. Sharad Kumar Yadav has been made the Vice Chancellor. On the instructions of the Governor, Principal Secretary Robert L. Notification was issued by Chongthu on Tuesday. The tenure of these newly appointed Vice Chancellors will be three years.

Four Vice Chancellors are working outside Bihar

Of the vice-chancellors appointed in six universities, four vice-chancellors are working outside the state. Among these, Prof. Pandey, resident of Lakshmi, is a professor at Central Sanskrit University, Mumbai. Whereas Prof. Pramendra Kumar Bajpai is a professor at Guru Ghasidas Central University, Vilaspur. Pro. Dinesh Chandra Rai is a professor at Banaras Hindu University. Whereas Prof. Sharad Kumar Yadav is a professor in Pt. Deendayal Upadhyay, Veterinary University, Mathura.
